Streptococcus thermophilus GRX02 was isolated from the traditional dairy products of Xinjiang Uyghur area.Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region is known as “the world's longevity village” and is one of top five of longevity area in the world. In this area, most of the residents make their living for agriculture and animal husbandry in the large nature grassland. They have been making and accumulating an aboundant of traditional dairy products, which are good resources of probiotics.
